NOCT Application: Arcadia

After a bit of humming and harring, I decided I'd enter the 's Nuzlocke Original Character Tournament. It sounded like fun, it's long enough that it won't intefer with updating the comic itself, and I'll get to play around with a few ideas.
This is an AU version of Arcadia, but events that happen in the Tournament may be reflected in the comic itself, and all of her team comes from the comic, fully evolved.

Setting: This tournament in set in a place only known as the Citadel. Here, trainers are taken from the outside world and forced to fight to provide energy and entertainment for the Citadel's inhabitants. The energy is stored in a circular device on each trainers chest. It can be charged through battle (picking up stray energy from Pokemon's attacks) or through death itself (If a Pokemon is killed, it's life energy is transferred to the trainer of the Pokemon that killed it). After the battle, it is then transferred to the Citadel's Power station by an official. If a trainer loses all six Pokemon in battle, their own life energy will be taken from them to power the Citadel, so that is the trainer's incentive to fight. If the trainer tries to flee a battle, they will be killed.

Arcadia: Arcadia's a new fighter in the Tournament curcuit. Serious, cynical, although has been known to exhibit a soft side in private. She has been constantly plagued by visions since coming to the Citadel. Visions of a world outside the Citadel, of having a different team, and especially visions of a Charmeleon. But that's not right, she's sure she never had one of those....had she?

Archimedes (Pidgeot - Female)

Archimedes has been with Arcadia for a long time, and acts as the De Facto team leader. German in origin, she takes leadership seriously. However she enjoys battling, and has been known to be very maniacal and sadistic on occasion, laughing at her opponent's misfortune. Definitely not someone to take lightly on the battlefield.

Bugatti (Butterfree - Male)

Bugatti hails from Viridian Forest. A quiet, more reflective person, he's more of a tactition than the others, preferring using his brains over brawn to whittle down an opponent. He's one of the older team members (in his early 70's), but that doesn't mean he's useless.

Max (Maximillian A Churchill) (Gyrados - Male)

Max is the second in command of the team. Descended from dragons and hailing from a family of well to do Gyrados living in Vermillion Bay, he's a jerk-ass blue blood, but underneath that upper class exterior lies a hert of gold. He's the heaviest hitter on the team, he may not be the fastest on the team, but he uses his girth to his advantage.

Wizard (Alakazam - Male)

Wizard is certainly the eldest member on the team, his exact age however is yet to be defined. He's the wisest of the team too, often providing a kindly word of encouragement or two to his tema mates, and acting as counsel and the voice of reason to Arcadia. Wizard uses magic on the battlefield to defend himself while confusing his opponents and causing them to trip up over themselves.

Wepauwet (Arcanine - Male)

Noone knows exactly who or what Wepauwet is. It's known he's a force of nature on the battlefield, preferring straight up attacking instead of strategy. He doesn't speak at all, and sometimes his facial expressions seem hard to read. However, he has been shown to be loyal, and there's an undercurrent of anger to his personality, an undercurrent that he readily unleashes in battle.

Veyron (Beedrill - Male)

Veyron is the youngest of the bunch, and the most naive and impatient. It is often his impatience that gets him into trouble and has to be tempered down by Wizard and Bugatti on occasion. He is the most enthusiastic though, and does try his best.
