Queen Amidala cosplay

Finally, here is my Queen Amidala cosplay that I did for Gold Coast Supanova this year!
This took me about 4 months to make, and cost me about $200 in material. The cape has an organza base, with about 200 odd petals made out of net curtain fabric dyed and sewn onto it. The dress and tabard were made out of ivory satin, with the design on the tabard outlined in silver glitter glue and filled in with yellow watercolour pencil.
The parasol was made from floral and armature wire, interfaced and covered in glitter glue. The finials on the edge are made from sculpy and glued onto the edge of the spokes with hot glue. The parasol is velcroed onto the cape and the cape is velcroed onto the dress.
The headpiece gave me the most trouble, I redid it with a 24 gauge wire, used sculpy for the side bars, and glued the gems on.
This is my first real sewing attempt, and I'm really proud it held together so well.
